Retha Charette
Backpacking, HikingRetha Charette is a backpacking coach, adventure traveler, and full-time blogger with over 10 years of international hiking experience. Her love of nature started at age five when she joined the Girl Scouts and has blossomed into a full-blown obsession. She has logged over 3,500 miles on the trails around the world and across six continents. Retha believes in making space for everyone in the outdoors and recently took the Outdoorist Oath, an action-based commitment to planet, inclusion, and adventure. She shares her passion for adventure via her blog, where she has resources to help women learn how to hike and backpack. Additionally, she is an Adventure Manager and Group Adventure Leader for WHOA Travel leading hiking trips around the world. In 2020, Retha hiked the 273 mile Long Trail and in 2021 she took it up a notch and thru-hiked the 2,193-mile Appalachian Trail. In 2022, she was a member of Granit Gear's Grounds Keppers and collected over 700 pounds of trash from hiking trails and waterways around the globe.
